shoes and lipstick and braids

my brother is graduating in a few short weeks. it's crazy. i'm very excited to get to go out to colorado for his special weekend.

i already have the dress i am going to wear but i am in need of some shoes. i think i want red shoes but maybe i want pink or green or brown. hmm.

so since i can't sleep, i've been searching for some shoes i might like (but really i don't like them because i could never afford them, but that's what late night online shopping here is for)

i also plan to wear cute lipstick like this:

and i'm hoping to do my hair like this:

what do you think?!

estrogen fest.

this is me and my two cousins. they both live in texas. i don't have any sisters, so they fill my sister desire.

this is me and my mom. she lives in colorado but will be in texas this weekend.

this is my nana. she lives in texas.

this is my grandmama and aunt debbie. they live in texas.

as you can see, texas is a place i would really love to be this weekend. so guess what?! i'm going to texas to spend some time with these wonderful women. my cousin heather has declared it "estrogen fest 2010". i think we're going to make t-shirts. with jewels. i'm so stinking excited.

hope you have a great spring weekend!

ps- while we're talking about estrogen so much, i thought i would share my favorite dress from the academy awards:

circus!

i'm going to trapeze school!
(just for two hours - nursing school is driving me crazy but i'm not to the point of joining the circus... yet)

i'm going with some great friends from nursing school... and trying to convince my friends who are afraid of heights to come master their fears.
(that sentence is meant for you kerry and katie)

we're not going until the end of march but i just can't wait!

the circus has been on my mind. which is strange because i hate clowns. but the latest anthropologie catalog has me even more excited about trapeze school. just look at these great pictures!

(that's me!)

anyways, ryan's mom got me a gift certificate there for christmas which i still haven't used (!). i want to find the perfect thing to spend the money on. it just might have to be circus-themed to celebrate my trapeze school endeavors.
