nuggets.

oh how we love the nuggets.

even if they lose to the wizards. 

i could defend them and tell you about the amazing game they had before. or the amazing game they had yesterday. but i will not bore you too much. just know - they are great. 

ryan has a standing bet with someone that if the nuggets win the nba championship and carmelo leads the league in scoring, he will get some sort of nuggets-themed tattoo on his body. i feel like this could be the year.

this was the verizon center 5 minutes before the game started... 

this is nene. he is from brazil. his name means little baby. he is a christian. he just got married. he had testicular cancer.

this is george karl. he's the coach. he had prostate cancer and now has throat cancer. 

this is the man. carmelo. he is engaged to lala. he has a cute son named kiyan. he has a great website.

this is ty. he's new and i like him a lot. 

this is the nuggets strength and conditioning coach. he gets very excited about the game.

this is chauncy. he's a true coloradoan. he has teenage daughters. he mentors ty. 

even though we lost, it was too fun. ryan yelled loudly and i got nachos.

friday. ahhh. i appreciate fridays so much. i don't have school. i don't have clinicals. i can be home. catch my breath. catch up on homework. catch up on grocery shopping.

we've reallyyyyy been looking forward to this friday. we are going to the nuggets/wizards game tonight!! wooo!! we can't wait to see them and cheer for them especially after the sad news this week and an amazing win last night. 

[and i may or may not be reallyyy excited to get some nachos]

a few thoughts.

1. it's now blizzard-ing here. 

2. i can hear snow moving on the roof.... getting nervous about it collapsing.

3. i've been thinking about what i would do if the roof collapsed.

4. i put on socks.

5. i can't focus for more than three minutes at a time.

6. we're almost out of diet coke and i'm getting nervous.

7. you would think being locked inside would result in a clean house... not here.

8. you would think being locked inside would result in really productive studying... not here.

9. i like to lay by the fire and close my eyes and pretend like i'm laying in the sun.

10. i don't think spring will ever come.

11. i think i'll be in school until july with all of these snow days.

12. i'm thinking about going to the gym.

13. i'm thinking about reasons to not go to the gym.

14. i'm thinking about my brother who runs everyday.

15. i'm thinking my brother must be sad the nuggets beat the mavericks last night.

 friday came fast. that's always good.

i just spent the past two hours at the virginia dmv. we now have virginia license plates and i have a virginia driver's license. i feel like all things colorado were just ripped from me. yuck. people now will expect me to know where i am going and can't just look at my car and sigh, "she's just from colorado".

ryan's refusing to let go. he still has his colorado driver's license... we also have this above our washer and dryer:

  

don't judge too much... it can be hidden behind these doors:

so i'd say we're still connected to our colorado roots.

ryan and i recently returned from a wonderful trip to colorado. we got to see a lot of people we really miss and spent a lot of time with our great families. it was cold and fun and we got to see our dogs.

we also got to see our NUGGETS! we are semi-obsessed with the denver nuggets and were so excited to find out both of our families would be going to the game against the dallas mavericks. we had so much fun even though clint cheered for the wrong team who ended up winning...

what made up for the nuggets' loss was the most incredible thing which happened afterwards. ryan and i have been laughing over chris andersen's car for the few weeks before we were in colorado. it's ridiculous and crazy and DROVE RIGHT PAST US after the game!!! here is my picture:

it made me very happy and i now know where to watch the parade of nuggets leaving the pepsi center after a game.

we're back in virginia now and back to missing colorado. we loved seeing the people we did and are sad we missed the ones we did. we'll be back soon!
