since i haven't been blogging, i have been filling my time with pinterest. it is an amazing place where you can form inspiration boards of all sorts. before using pinterest, i was using delicious to store websites and pictures i liked, but i love that you can see all of the images in one place on pinterest. there's some really great stuff over there. visit my page here.

i can't stop looking at katie evan's blog. her drawings are so adorable and so make me wish i could draw/be artsy at all. i tried to see if i could even handle drawing the sugar cookie. apparently circles are pretty hard for me. anyways, she works for kate spade, so she obviously has some pretty adorable stuff in her portfolio as well.

268 days...

until i graduate nursing school. in some ways i CANNOT wait and in others i want to delay it as long as possible. i LOVE school. i mostly always have. and i REALLY love my nursing school girls. they bring me donuts, we go trapeze-ing, and this weekend we're going to an amusement park. 

this semester i'm taking an obstetrics (ob) course, pediatrics and psych. i'm so excited for my ob course i could burst. i looked at the syllabus and was so excited about every topic. i skim through my book all the time and constantly have to warn ryan not to look or else he might see a picture of something that would scar him eternally. we're about as opposite as we could be sometimes. 

so anyways, i'm certain there will be a lot of nursing related blog posts this semester. and, i hope to be better about posting in general. thanks for reading this little blog and for being a part of our life.

we spent friday night listening to jazz, eating delicious treats and drinking sangria among friends. it was so great. and SO humid. we're working on getting used to it... not sure if that will ever happen.

how great is this print by laura george? it cracks me up. i love that it mentions donuts. and i love the monster dinosaur thing.

shoes and lipstick and braids

my brother is graduating in a few short weeks. it's crazy. i'm very excited to get to go out to colorado for his special weekend. 

i already have the dress i am going to wear but i am in need of some shoes. i think i want red shoes but maybe i want pink or green or brown. hmm.

so since i can't sleep, i've been searching for some shoes i might like (but really i don't like them because i could never afford them, but that's what late night online shopping here is for)
